Since 1857, the name Spits has been standing for tradition, quality and competence.As one of the largest Austrian food producers, Spitz has been contributing significantly to the country’s economic development. For instance, Spitz as the fourth largest employer in the district of Vöcklabruck provides nearly 700 jobs.

Past successes are an incentive for Spitz to support even more strongly the sustainable and careful use of the environment. With regard to the company's economic, social and ecological dimension, we continuously work on ensuring sustainable development. A significant step towards this has been the construction of the Spitz bioheat combined heat and power station in 2008. As a shareholder in the Pet2Pet Recycling GmbH, Spitz is making a further significant contribution to climate protection.
