The Pet2Pet Recycling GmbH is a pool of the five largest Austrian beverage producers, Coca Cola, Radlberger, Rauch, Vöslauer and Spitz. By signing the sustainability agenda, the Austrian beverage industry has made it its aim to recycle or refill at least 80% of the beverage containers sold.

In 2007, the plant in Müllndorf in the state of Burgenland was commissioned after just one year’s construction time and has been recycling around10,000 tonnes of PET-material annually since. Used PET bottles are processed in a multi-stage recycling process to become food-safe PET-recyclate - or PET-flakes. These are then supplied to the beverage industry for re-use.
