Ingredients

Ingredients for the cake:

175 g soft butter
175 g icing sugar
3 tbsp Spitz Barbara syrup
3 eggs
175 g flour
1 tsp cream of tartar

Ingredients for the cream:

120 g butter
150 g icing sugar
2 tbsp Spitz Barbara syrup

Decoration:

Red hundreds and thousands
Small fondant strawberries
White cake pop sticks
Pink chocolate icing (e.g. candy melts)

Cake Pop Barbara

Delicious strawberry cake bites

Preparation

Beat together the butter, icing sugar and Barbara syrup until creamy. Gradually add the eggs. Mix the cream of tartar with the flour and incorporate into the butter mixture. Pour the batter into a 20 cm cake tin and bake at 180 °C for around 45 minutes.

Beat together the butter, icing sugar and Barbara syrup until creamy. Leave the cake to cool and then crumble finely and combine with the cream. Form into balls and leave to chill in the fridge for 1 hour.

Heat the candy melts, dip the sticks in approx. 1 cm and at the same time place the balls on top. Leave to dry a little and then glaze the cake pops.

Decorate with hundreds and thousands and fondant strawberries while the icing is still slightly wet.
